KBi® manufactures several types of ether starting fluid systems; patented fully automatic, NVT, DIESELMATIC II, 21 ounce, 18 ounce, and 8 ounce systems available.

Why Choose Ether Starting Fluid Systems Ether Starting Fluid Information Center

“We received two DIESELMATIC® units for our generator and installed them, following the well written and illustrated instruction manual, with no problems. Our generator now starts every time with no intervention and no problem. The product is as good or better than advertised.”

Our Ether Starting Fluid Products

DIESELMATIC NVT™

The DIESELMATIC NVT’s patented ether starting fluid system is specially designed to be compatible with the new generation of ECM engines. This revolutionary new unit is fully automatic and plugs directly into the “Starting Fluid” port on the engine’s Electronic Control Module. No separate interface is required, and full professional installation is simple to complete.

The DIESELMATIC NVT is activated by the signal from the ECM based on vital engine information (speed, temperature, etc.) to deliver starting fluid more precisely than any other injection system on the market today. The fully integrated metering orifice and filter have been totally re-engineered, setting a new standard in performance and reliability.

Ether Cylinders

Dirt and Moisture Seal
KBi ether cylinder products have a unique O-Ring seal that protects the valve from accumulating dirt and moisture that would otherwise cause it to become clogged and nonfunctional. Additionally, the O-Ring seal provides easier installation of a new ether cylinder by preventing the old one from “welding” to the valve.

Protective Cap & Valve Gasket
KBi ether cylinders also come with a protective cap and replacement valve gasket. The protective cap guards the cylinder threads to avoid damage and dirt entering during storage or shipping. The valve gasket ensures a proper seal and keeps starting fluid (ether) from leaking when the ether cylinder is threaded onto a non-NVT valve. It’s important to always use the new valve gasket when replacing ether cylinders.

Note: NVT valves do not use a valve gasket, so the removable valve gasket should not be installed when replacing NVT ether cylinders.

Ether Cylinder Recycling

With so much emphasis on the environment and the possible impact that hazardous material may have on it, KBi has taken the lead in providing their current and future customers with a quick and effective means for recycling their used ether cylinder. This program was developed to help KBi’s customers alleviate any concerns on the proper disposal of ether cylinders. We provide all of the required documents and procedures.

Recycling Costs
There are no processing fees assessed for recycling an ether cylinder when an order is placed for an equal number of KBi brand ether cylinders or a “Proof of Purchase” (invoice showing purchase of an equal number of KBi Brand Ether Cylinders) is provided. Without purchasing an equal number of KBi cylinders (or “Proof of Purchase”), a recycling charge per ether cylinder will be assessed. Call KBi at (800) 527-8278 for more information on recycling of ether cylinders. All cylinders must be shipped to KBi freight prepaid.

Participation
Call KBi at (800) 527-8278 for a Return Authorization Number. KBi will then provide a packet of labels and documents for the shipment of the “USED” Ether Cylinders. If at all possible, use the same case cartons in which the new ether cylinders were originally shipped. No ether cylinders will be accepted by KBi without a Return Authorization Number.

Qualifications
KBi’s Ether Cylinder Recycling Program applies only to DOT39NRC Ether Cylinders. KBi will accept competitive brands of ether cylinders for recycling. High pressure cylinders that are not ether cylinders will NOT be accepted by KBi for recycling.
