“The KSM gives me an added sense of security”

I couldn’t be more pleased with the supercapacitor and the support provided by Kold-Ban in planning and executing the installation. The KSM facilitated replacing two 8D starting batteries with two Group 31 AGM starting batteries, freeing up valuable space in a very crowed engine room on a 41′ double cabin yacht. The capacitor spins the Detroit diesel engines faster than possible with the tow 8Ds paralleled. In fact, it started the engine three times on its own with the battery disconnected! The ability to recharge the capacitor from almost any 12 volt source, if necessary, gives me an added sense of security.
